Can you dye microsuede furniture?

The fabric won’t come off of a microsuede couch, so you can’t dye it. Polyester is used to make microsuede, and it can only be dyed using a SPECIAL kind of dye (disperse dye) by boiling it for about an hour. A small amount of boiling is not sufficient. Simply steaming it into place on the couch will not work.

Can you paint faux suede fabric?

With a few minor adjustments, suede fabric can be painted in the same way as paper or canvas. White eyeliner can be used instead of pencil or charcoal to draw the design on suede before painting. A wet washcloth works well for removing eyeliner from suede.
