Glass Lids in The Oven

If you want to put glass lids in the oven, you can certainly do so. The majority of glass lids are designed to be used in the oven. You can put a glass lid on top of your Pyrex glass when baking. Glass lids can handle hot temperatures.

In fact, they are supposed to handle temperatures that are as hot as 400 degrees. So, if you’re baking or making something in the oven, then it’s perfectly fine to use a glass lid.

Plastic lids shouldn’t go into the oven because they will easily melt, so that’s not something that you should do at all. It’s actually dangerous to do that.

Glass lids, on the other hand, are safe to put in the oven. Nothing is going to happen. Now, if you have the glass lid in the oven for hours at high temperatures, then that might be a different story. People don’t generally use an oven for hours upon hours, so that’s not likely to happen.

Conclusions

Regardless of what you’re baking in the oven, you can use a glass lid without having to worry about anything. Your glass lid isn’t going to break or shatter within regular oven temperatures. Based on this, the next that you decide to use your oven, you can definitely use a glass lid or glass pyrex if you want to without any issues.
