As long as the Magnum block is drilled for oil supply, some of the early LA heads can definitely be adapted to the Magnum blocks. Most people ask this, but it’s a bad idea to bring it up because it’s so common.

Will a la intake fit a Magnum?

Will 360 heads fit on a 318?

A 318’s compression ratio must be taken into account. In the real world, 360 chambers are at least 5cc larger than 318 heads chambers, and I’d say they’re closer to 7-8cc larger. If you don’t mind running 7:1 compression, you won’t be able to just slap them on.

The Mopar 318 has a good amount of sturdiness. While a forged crankshaft would be preferable, cast iron crankshafts have proven to be very reliable. The bottom end of most 318 engines are actually used a cast-iron crankshaft.
