Yes, bread can be frozen and then re-frozen. The flavor may have gotten a little stale, but it’s perfectly safe to do so. In order to maintain the freshest flavor possible, defrosted bread can be refrozen in several different ways.

Although bread can be frozen and thawed, the quality will degrade, so it’s best to avoid this practice whenever possible. Once frozen, bread is fine; however, if it is frozen more than once, the results will be much worse. Avoid freezer burn at all costs if you want to get the most out of your loaf of bread.
