For safety reasons, it is highly discouraged to use a Crock-Pot bowl on a stovetop. Crockpots are not built to withstand high temperatures. The crockpot would be damaged by the high temperature, and it would lose its durability over time as a result. Only use on the stove if the manufacturer permits it to be done so.
