Do they have Uber in Bahamas?
Ethan Hayes
The best way to move around the Bahamas is by car, whether rented or taken in a taxi. If you’re staying at a large resort and intend to spend the majority of your time there, taking a taxi to off-site attractions is a more cost-effective option than renting a car.

Plane
Several domestic airlines serve the Bahamas and can transport you to your selected island or islands. Larger hubs, such as Nassau, Freeport, Grand Bahama, and Eleuthera, will have the most possibilities.
Car
If you want to go exploring outside of your resort, renting a car is a good idea. However, car rentals and gas are expensive, and the island’s older and less-traveled roads can be in bad shape. If you want to rent a car, automobiles are available at all major Bahamian airports.
Taxi
Taxis are one of the finest ways to move around because they are faster and easier than driving on your own. In the Bahamas, they are not metered, and most routes have fixed prices set by the government.
Make sure you understand the cost of going to your destination before getting into your cab.
Jitney
In the Bahamas, jitneys (buses) are the primary mode of public transportation. They are reasonably priced, with one-way rides ranging from $1.25 to $3.50 per person. It might be hectic for travelers who have a defined agenda.
Jitneys run from roughly 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., but there are no established schedules, and you must wave one down to stop it. Simply yell “stop” to get off any jitney, and the driver will pull over to allow you off.
Water Taxi
Despite the availability of ferries and water taxis, island hopping in the Bahamas can be difficult, time-consuming, and costly. Water taxis run between Nassau and Paradise Island and are widely available throughout the Out Islands.
