You need to be sure that the products you are using as pest control is suitable for use in winter weather or not, this is very important as people may end up harming themselves with products that shouldn’t be used during cold seasons.

Why do you need pest control in winter?

Most pests like mice, ants, cockroaches, and termites are usually very active in winter. The cold weather won’t stop them from getting into your house for food and water.

Problems that you might face during the winter seasons with pests.

During winter seasons there are fewer people moving around the house which means more pest infestation

The chances of termite infestation will increase during winter because they love moisture so when there is less sunlight to dry out damp areas these insects will thrive well in this environment.

Rodents like mice and rats will also be attracted to homes during the long cold season for warmth. Mice can cause a lot of damage to your furniture especially if they urinate on it while crawling around.

Cockroaches are also very fond of moisture and cool places so they will take advantage of this during the winter season.

What to do if you have pest control in winter?

If you have a rodent infestation, then you need to look for a product that can be used during the cold weather because rodents may stay dormant for a long time but only come out at night so it is important that your bait should last long enough for them to eat it. You can use snap traps or even electronic rat traps if you don’t want any mess around your home.

For long-term control, I recommend using gel baits that are flavored with peanut butter since mice love this flavor. Just place these gels inside their hiding space like under the sink or behind the fridge etc.

It is best to use sprays to kill off cockroaches during winter because they are easy to use and doesn’t require much time
