  • The stains are very old and are either oxidized or have been set in the fabric.
  • Fabrics are delicate and can be stained only with a special stain remover.
  • The fabric’s dye is soluble and can be washed together with the stain.
  • The stain is more durable than the dye.

OXIDATION STAIN

These are brown or yellow stains you see on clothes after they have been stored for a long time. These stains are formed when the tiny amount of oil that your skin has transferred to your clothes combines with oxygen. This is called oxidation, and it is very similar to rusting or burning.

Vegetable dyes (for example, ink (for example, pens)) and other chemicals, such as mustard or fabric dye, are both used in dye stains. There are several ways to mix stains, and certain stains may fall into more than one category. In the case of coffee and milk, the stain is both a color and a protein. Butter is a stain because it is both an oil and a protein. It would be removed by a stain remover expert in 2-3 steps.
