The following states and territories in the United States currently have imported fire ants present: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico; North Carolina; Oklahoma; Puerto Rico; South Carolina; Tennessee; Texas; and the Commonwealth of Virgina. In Kentucky, Missouri, and Maryland, they have been found.

What area do fire ants live in?
