What kills fire ants instantly?

Dish soap/liquid and water: Mix one part soap with two parts water to create a solution. Make sure to thoroughly agitate the mixture before using. You can use this solution to suffocate and kill the ants by spraying it on them. To get rid of ants in a different way, fill shallow dishes halfway with soapy water.

How do you use Sevin dust for ants?

Spread one to two tbsp. of Sevin dust around the ground’s ant burrows and nests. The powder will kill the ants as they walk through it. A small percentage of ants will bring the poison back to the nest, where it will poison the entire colony.
