What does fireplace sand do?
The bottom of the burn pan of VENTED NATURAL GAS log sets is made of silica sand. In order to distribute the gas, the sand acts as a dispersant. This gives your gas logs a more realistic flame effect. Keep your flames dancing by replacing the sand every few years.
What kind of sand do you use in a gas fireplace?
