Seeing through the eyes of an antAnthracnoses have multi-unit compound eyes, known as ommatidia, on their heads. Eyes that look like a traffic light’s LED array (except in a dome shape). This means that each ommatidium sees a single point in space, so that the entire eye sees the same image, but with different parts of it.

Insects, according to experts, have three types of photoreceptors that allow them to see ultraviolet, blue, and green wavelengths of light. The cells in the eyes that are sensitive to light are known as photoreceptors. With just two photoreceptors in each of their eyes, ants have a remarkable ability to distinguish between different hues.
Do ants have feelings?
In contrast to humans, ants tend to gravitate toward things they find pleasurable and stay away from things they find unpleasant. They use their antennae to detect scents, which enables them to follow trails, locate food, and identify their own colony.
Is the ants are blind?
Some subterranean taxa of ants are completely sighted, while others have blurry vision, particularly in smaller species. One exception is the Australian Bulldog Ant, which exhibits exceptional vision and can distinguish between objects moving nearly one meter away and those that are the same size.
