How does my phone know what I’m thinking?

Writer Ethan Hayes

At the beginning of the year, I bought a new phone. It was supposed to be my last one for a long time. I haven’t really liked phones in general but needed something for work and stuff like that. In most situations, I found out that my new iPhone X would know what I’m thinking or at least would have the data I want in place. Talk about when you need to order fries and the first suggestion is Uber eats? how does it know what someone is thinking? let’s find out.

I went out for a night to try and spot what it could do. The first thing I noticed was that when I looked at the weather icon, it would change depending on the temperature outside. I thought this could be caused by maybe checking locations nearby or something like that, but then I checked my location data and there was no sign of it. I decided to ride my bike outside and yes, temperatures were increased by my speed.

Access to the location is ”on” on your computer as well

If the location feature on your phone is activated, the computer will always ready your location and suggest keywords about the upcoming events and the existing activities in the area. If you consider that maybe the computer is just checking for keywords, then I will tell you now that no one would be able to predict it.

Data saved on your phone

The phone can as well use the data stored on your phone to know exactly what you have been thinking or what you like. It can be anything from your favorite tv show to the kind of food you like. Let’s now say that you are talking about a specific book you recently read, then it will suggest the same keyword if someone mentions the title around you.

Phone features

The phone is able to handle all sorts of activities on its own. This means that it can connect to your car speakers or start your home theatre paired with the phone.

Phone Camera features

The camera has always been great in catching important moments in life (for example when you fall down). The new iPhone X is able to use its power to know when an accident happens and immediately sends out an emergency signal to the first responders.

Conclusion:

Even though this is kind of scary, I have to admit that it’s pretty helpful. Nowadays it’s necessary for your phone to be able to predict what you are thinking so it can offer some help when needed.
