The former requires laces that can quickly be tied and untied whereas people playing leisure games do not require anything too complex.
- Age groups – Children aged 4-6 years old will need shorter laces as opposed to those of teenagers or adults. You’ll find that skates for children come with longer laces as it is easier for them to tie and untie their own feet with long lace. In case you buy a skate for a teenager, the best length would be somewhere between 12-14 inches. For adults, 9-11 inches can serve as the ideal length depending on your height and the type of skating that you’re going to do.
