Rachel Davis
Dysport is a prescription injection that can be used to improve frown lines between the eyebrows, particularly wrinkles caused by repeated expressions called dynamic wrinkles. Dysport or similar injections are sometimes referred to as “dynamic” or “static” wrinkles. It works in much the same way. It takes 2 to 3 days to start working, but the effects may last for up to 6 months. It peaks at 2 to 4 weeks after injection.

However, it may vary depending on dosage and individual factors such as medication or age. Therefore, its effects will not be visible for several weeks and may take up to 3 months to become fully apparent.
In addition, Dysport can last from as short as two months to as long as six months once the injection begins working. People who receive Dysport treatment multiple times will generally experience longer-lasting effects with each injection. The best way to assess the efficacy of Dysport treatment is with 6 months after each injection.
Dysport is approved for use in adults over 18 years of age only. It will not be effective in children or teenagers who are still developing, as their facial muscles have not fully matured yet.
What is the side effect of dysport?
There are some side effects that may occur after repeated use of Dysport. Some common side effects include mild headaches, but this should not be occurring if you receive the proper dose. For most patients, Dysport facial injections are considered safe and effective, however, there can be serious side effects for some patients. This can include nerve damage, excessive weakness or double vision. Sometimes Dysport injections can cause bruising and swelling at the injection site, but this is usually minimal and short-term. The most common side effect of Dysport is a temporary feeling of facial tightness. This will go away after about 2 weeks after each treatment and should improve.
