How long does it take for dysport to kick in?

Writer Robert King

The Dysport can kick in within 2-3 days. If you start to see results before the 3 days, then it can last up to 4 weeks. But this can vary depending on the person and even how deep they inject it into your muscles.

What is Dysport?

Dysport is a botulinum toxin type A (the same as Botox) but that is not approved by the FDA for cosmetic use like Botox. It has been around since 1999 and people have been using this to help with their wrinkles and facial muscles.

Another great thing about Dysport is that it lasts a lot longer of duration than when you get Botox. On average with Dysport, the results can last up to 6 months which is twice as long as when you get Botox injections.

It’s also very rare to see any side effects when you get Dysport injections. There is a very low chance of getting any droopy eyelids and other rare side effects such as redness and flushing within the first day or two because it’s not actually Botox.

Any Side Effects?

There are some serious side effects when you get Botox, but Dysport is different in how it acts on your muscles. It actually goes to the neuromuscular junction which means it stops messages from being sent down to your muscle. This is what causes the cosmetic effects of Dysport – but if you get too much, it can cause paralysis in certain areas which could be dangerous.

So if anyone tells you they’re getting Botox, don’t let them because it’s much different from getting Dysport. In conclusion, Dysport is a great cosmetic injectable when it comes to the treatment of wrinkles and facial muscles.
