I skimmed, and scanning helped to improve my reading skills. In scanning, we examine the whole text to figure out the primary information. So, one could quickly move through big data in a shorter time interval.

These abilities develop your mind and improve your knowledge. However, fluency, as well as vocabulary, matters a lot. So that one could decode the central idea from the text. The inference could also develop comprehensive skills. By reading the whole text, summarize it in your own words.
