How long will a narcissist ignore you?
Caleb Butler
They will probably ignore you for a short time until they think it’s time to control you again. For anyone that has been living under a rock for the past couple of years, a narcissist is someone who feels superior to others and often has little or no regard for other people’s feelings. They use other people in order to make themselves feel better about themselves. This kind of behavior is emotionally abusive and can really do a number on your self-esteem. It is important to learn the signs of narcissism so you know what you are dealing with when someone close to you exhibits these behaviors.

Silky Terrier Dog Breed Playing AroundThe best way I have found to describe a narcissist in real life is this: imagine that your mother in law gets pregnant after she has just met you and tells everyone she knows all about how excited she is about her pregnancy because it means that her body will be used for re-purposing, even though it’s yours. That’s a pretty good example of a narcissist.
A typical narcissistic behavior pattern includes the following traits:
They always need to be right and can never admit when they’re wrong. Arguing with them only makes them dig their heels in deeper and more determined to not hear your side.
They will pretend that they do not care what you think yet they will constantly bring up those closest to them and how those people feel about situations, even if those people refuse to take sides or remain neutral.
They always need praise and attention which is why constant communication with them can be draining on your emotional reserves as you try over and over again to explain yourself in such a way that their fragile ego cannot find fault with it. They love drama and gossip which keeps the focus off of their own behavior. This kind of attention-seeking is exhausting for anyone involved with one because since you never know exactly what they’ll throw at you next, you must always be ready for anything and everything.
