How often should I clean my ball pythons tank?

At least once a month, thoroughly clean and disinfect the habitat. To keep your snake safe while you clean the tank, put it in a separate enclosure and cover it with a 3-5 percent bleach solution. Rinse until the bleach smell is completely gone with plenty of clean water.

How often should you change snakes water?

Unless someone has substrate in their water, which necessitates cleaning it sooner, I try to aim for water bowl cleaning days every two weeks or so. They usually get a new water bowl if I do a thorough spot cleaning. I’ll replace their water if they’ve been sitting in it.

Every 1-2 months, or more frequently if necessary, replace the substrate. The majority of the time, handling a ball python is a breeze. The first time you handle your newly acquired snake, wait until it has eaten a few times before doing so on a regular basis.

It is reasonable to assume that if you feed your snake every five days, it will poop every five days as well. If you’re feeding it every month, it should poop every month as well.. It’s possible that your snake is sick if it’s pooping more than once between meals.

The frequency of a snake’s bowel movements is determined by the number of times it is fed. More frequent pooping is a sign of an active snake diet. In the case of ball pythons, the average time between feeding and pooping is 5 to 7 days.
