Once a month, if not more, perform a thorough cleaning and disinfection of the habitat. To keep your snake safe while you clean the tank, put it in a separate enclosure and cover it with a 3-5 percent bleach solution. Rinse until the bleach smell is completely gone with plenty of clean water.
