Even if it has the potential to be profitable, 9 out of 10 times, it isn’t. A lot of us would be happy if we could just break even; or if we could manage a small amount of profit, it would most likely be returned to the snakes in some way.

Is there any money in breeding snakes?

Is breeding snakes good money?
Even if you have access to rare designer morphs, breeding reptiles isn’t worth as much as you might think. It can take a decade or more to produce. Ball python breeding can be expensive unless you start with multiple gene snakes if you want to make a profit.
Do you need a Licence to breed snakes?
In other words, you only need a license if you are selling animals that you haven’t bred yourself. A license is not required if you are only selling snakes that you have bred yourself.
