Key Battery Replacement Steps

  1. First, press the release tab that is on the back of your Infiniti’s key fob so that you can remove the metal car key.
  2. Once you have successfully removed the metal key as well as the release tab, you will need to open the panel that is situated directly underneath. At this point, you will be able to see the Infiniti key fob housing for the battery. It is recommended that you use a flathead screwdriver that has some tape around the end of it to ensure that you don’t scratch or damage the key fob.
  3. Replace the battery that is dead with a new one. Also, the battery should be facing the positive position when in the fob.
  4. Reattach the small panel that you removed earlier in the process, and then put the metal key together with the release tab.
