To open the Nexus 7, gently move a plastic cutting tool into a small gap between the back panel component and the top of the device.

Install the plastic cutting tool between the back panel and the front screen assembly at the power button and push up at some places along the right-hand side of the Nexus 7 using the instrument.
To use the technique indicated in the previous stages, pull up the back panel along the outer end.
Carefully pull the back panel component apart from the front panel component with little pressure.
To drag the battery cable straight out of its connection on the system, press first on one side and then on the opposite with the tip of a spudger.
Use a spudger with a flat end to wedge the lithium between the front panel component and the front window.
Carefully run the flattened end of the flat end of a spudger up and along the upper portion of the battery, separating them from the glue holding it to the front screen component.
Avoid bending the battery connection connector in an overly tight position. When prying up it around the top left side of the battery, take particular precautions not to damage anything.
Make a spudger wedge between the lower right-hand corner of the battery and a front panel component using the flat tip of a spudger.
Carefully slide the spudger at the far border of the pack while gradually raising the battery to simply eliminate it from the glue that is holding to the front screen component.
With your fingers, grasp the bottom right side of the pack and twist it forward to release it from the front panel component. Instead of using an outdated battery, use a fresh one to achieve full performance.
