How to change battery in window alarm sensor

Step 1 – Locate your screwdriver’s slot. The slots may be found on the back of the wireless transmitters. Step 2: Insert the screwdriver inside, loosen it, and then pull out the cover. Step 3: Pop off the cover plate that protects the circuit board. Be careful not to scratch the circuit board when you are doing this step. Step 4: Locate the battery and take it off the battery. Place it upside-down. Step 5: Reassemble your wireless sensor.

Remove the battery from the cover then dispose of it correctly according to the instructions of the manufacturer of the battery. Place the base with a tab until it gets caught by the cover’s tab openings. Close the sensor, then replace the screw. Make use of a flathead screwdriver press the tab to the edge of your contact. Replace the battery and observe the correct direction of the polarity.
Replace your front cover, snapping it in the correct position. Log in to MyADT.com and then select My Alarm from the dashboard. When the user clicks My Alarm, a menu will pop up. In (Note you may call 800-ADT-ASAP for assistance in putting your system in Test mode.) If you’re planning to replace your batteries there’s one thing you’ll need to complete prior to starting: To set your system into test mode:
- Click on “My Alarm” in the dashboard.
- Go to System Management
- Go on to “Test System” and place the test system on the test
In order to replace your battery, you’ll require a flat-headed screwdriver to insert the tab. After you’ve replaced the batteries, check that you have the correct polarity, and then screw it back in its place!
