If necessary, inject isopropyl alcohol along the back cover’s borders to weaken the glue. If you’re unsure how to handle a swollen battery, wear eye protection and proceed with caution.
Step 1:
To eject a SIM card from a phone, place it in the little hole in the SIM card tray at the top.
Push the tray out. It may take considerable force.
Unscrew the SIM tray.
Step 2:
Press the S-Pen button with your fingernail until it snaps and pops out.
Remove the S-Pen.
Step 3:
Slide the pick down the phone’s edge.
Go slowly so the tip doesn’t come out. For tough sliding, heat and apply iOpener.
Leave the pick in place to avoid the glue from repacking and select other pick.
Insert another pick and cut around the phone’s corner.
Step 4:
Peel any remaining glue from the back cover and the phone’s chassis with tweezers.
Use isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth to remove adhesions. Swipe just in one way. This will help the new glue stick better.
Gently remove the battery out of the case with an opening pick.
Before applying new adhesive and resealing the phone, turn it on and test the repair.
Step 5:
Slide a hole Pick up the battery’s side to remove any leftover adhesive.
Use pre-cut adhesive or double-sided tape to fasten the new battery. Put the new glue inside the phone, not instantly onto the battery. In the battery compartment, do not apply glue in the rectangular cutout in the center.
Firmly press the battery in for 5-10 seconds.
