A USB-C brick is the simplest, most cost-effective, and easiest solution to this Apple-created problem. This is a small piece of plastic you can plug into a power socket with a USB port to use the Lightning-to-USB-C cable that came with your iPhone 12.

As you might expect, they are easy to obtain. Apple sells one for $19 on its online shop. This one should be sufficient for most people. It’s not fancy, but it charges a phone and doesn’t launch a Space Shuttle. It’s better to just do what works.

Anker and Aukey make third-party charging bricks with multiple ports if you want to go a bit further. These bricks are available for a higher price, but you will need to pay more. This is from Aukey and comes with both USB-C (and old USB) ports for $46, which makes it compatible with all Lightning cables you have. Anker offers one for about the same price with two USB-C connectors if you are really interested in the future.

You can save yourself from a lot of trouble with portable chargers. A portable battery that has an enormous capacity in mAh will last longer and might even have more charger ports. It is additionally more expensive. But, you can find powerful chargers that can be used on the go for less than $50. Also, Anker and Aukey will provide good options at a reasonable cost.
