How To Clean Up Terro Liquid Ant Bait?

Writer Rachel Davis

Is Terro toxic to humans?

In the TERRO® Ant Killer and TERRO® Liquid Ant Baits, the active ingredient is borax, a naturally occurring substance that is not toxic to humans but lethal to ants.

What happens if you touch Terro ant Killer?

Ant bait products’ insecticides are poorly absorbed through the skin, so a small amount on the skin should have no ill effects on the rest of the body. However, contact with the skin or eyes can result in irritation.

Does Terro dry up?

However, every 12 to 24 hours, I need to reapply fresh dots of Terro liquid to these homemade traps. Otherwise, it hardens into a shiny, clear substance. Although the ants appear to approach it, they do not swarm around it. Terro liquid is a better deal than the pre-made traps from Terro.

How do you clean up spilled borax?

Use hot, soapy water to wash away any borax powder residue from the affected areas. If the powder was on rugs, you may be able to get rid of the residue by steam cleaning the carpets.

How often should I replace Terro ant bait?

Using the same bait for more than a year will cause it to harden, in which case you should switch to fresh bait. Keeping an eye out on the product’s packaging for information on how often it should be replaced is another good rule of thumb. The T300 TERRO® Liquid Ant Baits, for example, should be replaced every three months.
