Ps3 introduced a new feature through which you can use your mobile devices or media devices as external storage devices. This provides an option for users to upload the media content on the PS3 and later on can use that content.

Insert the USB cable into the phone it is the same cable that charges your phone 

Step#2 

Plug the USB end into the PS3 USB port 

Step#3 

Switch on the PS3 system 

Step#4 

On the home screen, there is an option Video, Movies, Pictures select option . This confirms that the device is properly connected

You can see your mobile phone name display on the screen as a USB
