How To Fix Water Pressure In Bathroom Sink?

Writer John Campbell

Why is the water pressure in my bathroom sink so low?

Two of the most common causes of sink water pressure issues are blocked aerators and clogged cartridges. Unlike the faucet’s aerator, which directs water into the sink, the cartridge is located beneath the sink handle and allows you to control the amount of water that comes out.

How do I adjust the water pressure in my bathroom sink?

Locate the hot and cold water control valves under your sink to adjust the pressure of your faucet. The water pressure can be increased or decreased by turning the valves in either a clockwise or counterclockwise direction.

How do I increase faucet flow rate?

Most faucet aerators can be replaced with a higher GPM model to increase the flow rate. However, before making a major purchase, check to see if the aerator is the root of the problem. Remove the aerator from the faucet and open it to see if the water flow is adequate.
