A pet squirrel can be a difficult addition to a family’s life. Always remember that most jurisdictions require a permit in order to keep a wild animal as a pet, so verify your state’s regulations before purchasing a squirrel for your home. If your pet becomes infected with flea mites, it is critical that you address the condition as soon as possible. Fleas are contagious and can spread to other animals in the house.

Choose a liquid flea killer that is specifically formulated for kittens. In addition to Advantage and Sentry, there are several more liquid flea killers that can be given to the back of the animal’s neck.

The number of droplets required will be determined by the package’s instruction sheet. 

Important: 

If the squirrel weighs more than two pounds, the usual application is approximately two drops each month for the squirrel.

Apply the drops on the squirrel’s back with a cotton ball. Utilize the plastic syringe (which does not have a syringe) to estimate and inject the exact amount that is specified on the package.

Pet squirrels under the age of eight weeks should not be treated with liquid flea killers. If you have a young squirrel over the age of eight weeks, you can try using one drop of flea killer instead of the suggested amount.
