Getting Internet In The Middle Of Nowhere
If you are bored from your busy same corporate life, if you get tired of being in a relationship with your spouse, if you are tired of all the mean games people usually play with you, or you think that zombie apocalypse is in the near future and you planned to run away from your current location and settle in an abandoned place which is middle of nowhere but you can take the decision because you are addicted to the internet.
If your answer is “Yes”, then good news, we are not mean as other people. We will provide you methods through which you can receive internet at any place you want.
Method #1 Satellite Internet
If you are planning to visit an abandoned place or a ghost town where there are DSL phone line providers, then satellite internet is the best option.
I know star-link has not been officially announced it is still in the Beta phase, but there are some companies that are providing satellite internet.
One of the common types of satellite internet service is Geo type. The satellite constellations move with the earth rotations but the biggest disadvantage is that its speed is extremely low.
Here are some service providers and their rates. The only downside is that they are only available for the US and their data packages are not unlimited.
Method # 2 Star-link
If you can up-hold your plans for some years, then star-link is the best option. It is currently in the beta phase, but the company’s mission is to provide internet to every inch of the Earth. As the company is founded by visionary Elon Musk and we know whatever he says he does it.
Method# 3 Internet Balloon (The loon Project)
Currently, internet connectivity comes from two places. There are two basic methods to deliver a connection
- Signal from Space
- Signal from ground
The famous loon project was based on the internet balloon technology but unfortunately, the company has announced that it’s winding down. Due to its high operational cost, the project could not be feasible.
Yes, there are only a few options that can enable internet connectivity in a deserted or abandoned area. I am really counting on star-link as in the past they come up with some incredible products.
