The Demo Mode, also known as Demonstration Mode, is a feature that most electronic makers employ for devices such as televisions and mobile devices.

When you get your shiny fresh Samsung television home and switch it on, you may be shocked to discover that it is trapped in Store Demo State. There may be a commercial running or various images may be popping up. There could even be advertisements on the sides of the screen of your TV. The screen will likely refresh at intervals of a few minutes, but you won’t be able to adjust the way you’d like.
Many of the newer Samsung TV models have the possibility of switching from retail Mode into Home Mode by a couple of steps on your remote. This is what you must do:
- Get your Samsung remote and hit Home.
- Click on Settings and then choose “General”.
- From there, click “System Manager” and then “Usage Mode”.
- You may be requested to submit your unique identifier. The default password is the number 0000.
- Then, choose “Home Mode”.
This is it. The Samsung TV is no longer in the Demo Mode and Retail Mode. You can change the settings without worrying that suddenly your Demo Mode will start again.
The steps above are the same for all Samsung Smart TVs, however, certain models might take different routes to reach the same destination. If these steps don’t work for your TV, try these:
- Hit the button Home on the Samsung remote.
- Select “Support” from the Settings menu.
- Choose “Use Mode” by scrolling down.
- Select “Home Use” and click “Done.”
If you’ve bought an older model but don’t have a remote with the “Home, “Home” button, you may still be able to purchase the Samsung TV from the retailer Demo Mode.
Simply press the “Tools” icon on the control and scroll down till you see “Store Demo Off. Choose that option, and your TV will exit the demo mode the same way as it did before.
