How To Keep Cold Air From Coming Through Gas Fireplace

There could be more than the power cord to your TV, since you may also have wires for cables, possibly gaming equipment, or surround sound. Your living space will appear more attractive when the cables for every electronic device blend seamlessly into the background, instead of becoming an eyesore that you need to see every time you go to the television. Remember that the steps may differ depending on whether your TV is mounted on drywall, in which case, you could create a hole in your wall, then drop the wires in, then remove them from at the top. The beautiful brick fireplace should be the main focal point of your living space, not the jumble of wires that connect your gadgets and TV. It’s not an easy task to conceal these wires and make a nice visual appearance. However, if you’re working with bricks only and brick, take these actions:

Band Cords Join Together

If you’re using zip ties or wire molds, you should tie the wires to make them as compact and tight as is possible. The wires will ultimately pass through an area that is tight and the more tightly you can secure them, the better, but be careful not to harm them while doing it. Wire molds are going to appear better than zip ties since they will cover the wires nearly completely.

Place Cable ties

Each about 6 inches you’ll need to secure an appropriate cable tie. This will keep the cables in place so that you can easily put them away from view and cover them up over your fireplace. Without these ties, your cables can swivel across the floor and you’ll be unable to hide them.

Arrange the Cables

You’re trying to find ways to place the cables into a fireplace seam or along the edge of the mantel. This will keep them away from view. You can run the cables along the edge of the mantel so that they are not visible.

Plug into Outlet

Locate the outlet closest to your fireplace. If you’re lucky, there’s an outlet above your fireplace at the mantel, however, you may also require extensions cords. The cords should be placed into the mantel or the grout lines of your fireplace, and then you can drop them directly into the outlet close to your television. The closer an outlet is to your TV the simpler it is to conceal the TV’s wiring.
