Methods to keep spiders away from porch lights

1. Use insecticide or a spider repellant spray in your porch and the areas around the porch. This will keep spiders away as well as the bugs that often visit porch lights at night.

2. Use homemade vinegar spray. You can make the vinegar spray by mixing vinegar and water in equal parts and then pour it into a spray bottle. Spray this on the spider webs and porch area. Vinegar will keep spiders away and also helps to kill bugs and mites.

3. Clean your porch area regularly. Make your yard and garden tidy and clean because many bugs live in the yards and appear around porch lights at night. These bugs attract spiders and they start to live by making webs on these lights. If your porch area and yard are neat and clean, you can easily get rid of spiders.

4. One of the easiest and effective methods is to change your porch lights and switch to the light bulbs like halogen, incandescent, and fluorescent bulbs. These light bulbs don’t emit IR radiations, these bulbs emit UV radiations which will not attract bugs and hence spiders. These are special bulbs that keep spiders and bugs away.
