How To Make Toilet Flush Better?

Writer Caleb Butler

The flushing capability of your toilet is something you could not take for granted. You don’t understand how important it is until you’re in the bathroom, repeatedly flushing or pulling the handle. There are several simple ways to improve performance in your toilet, both by boosting the water flow and the water pressure. Plus, a better flush can help prevent larger issues down the road.

Turn on the water valve

A small valve near the toilet’s base or on the bathroom wall allows water to return to the tank. Occasionally, flushing problems begin when you mistakenly tighten that valve. Therefore, ensure that the valve is completely open. Bear in mind that turning left loosens while turning right tightens.

Rinse the Rim

When cleaning the toilet bowl, it’s all too common to overlook the bottom of the rim. Plus, because you can’t see it, you’ll never know when it’s time for a cleaning. However, because water enters the bowl through small pores in the rim, calcium build-up on the rim might obstruct the flow of water.

A small mirror can be used to inspect the rim. If it does require cleaning, use a heavy-duty cleaner designed to remove calcium buildup or soap scum. If you’re using a less strong cleaner, you’ll simply have to scrub more thoroughly. Flush the toilet after that, and notice how much faster the water pours into the bowl.

Modify the Float

There are numerous varieties of floats available in modern toilets. You might come across a lever equipped with a clamp or a valve. To open valves, turn them to the left. Clamps should be opened, raised, and then closed again. To check if it worked, simply flush the toilet; the water level should be greater if it was successful.
