Locate the notch to unlock the fob

To pop it open, use the screwdriver
Place the flat-tipped screwdriver in the slot and push it open. You will see around battery within the unit when it opens in half.
Identify the type of battery
Purchase a new battery of the exact same type.
If you gently pull the old battery out using your finger, it should be easy to remove. The new battery will fit right in place of the old one.
Snap the fob shut
Once you have the new key installed, you can close the key fob. When you squeeze the key fob, it should snap back into place.
You might need to replace your battery every five years, depending on how frequently you drive and the quality of the battery.
You must first get into your car. You can also hold the dead remote to the handle of the driver’s car door and pull it. It is possible that you have enough battery life to allow you to open the door so close.
Many key fobs also have a small key inside. The key is released by the sleeves. The fob will usually have a button release that must be pressed. A manual lock should be installed on your driver’s door.
An identical mechanism could be used to start the car. Look around your steering column. A key slot may be found in your steering column. You may need to push the panels open or remove them. Manufacturers sometimes conceal the slot behind these panels. If you don’t have your key fob, press the start button.
