Praying Out Loud in Church

There’s nothing wrong with praying out loud in church. However, you should only do this when other people are praying out loud as well. So, if the majority of the church is praying and praising God, then it would make sense for you to pray louder because that way the other members would drown out your prayer. If not, then everyone will be hearing what you’re saying, which could be problematic.

In a sense, if everyone is praying together, then that is the best time for you to pray out loud and make as much noise as you want to within reason. However, you don’t want to be the only person that’s praying loud because everyone would notice you and you would stick out like a sore thumb.

Afraid Or Nervous

Some people are nervous or afraid to pray in church for whatever reason. Some church goers are just not comfortable with others hearing their prayer. Perhaps, they feel that this is something that is personal between them and God and no one else should hear their prayer. At the same time, you can pray out in the open if you want to, most people aren’t listening to your prayer because they are busy praying to God  as well.

Conclusions

The decision to play out loud when you’re at church is completely up to you. You don’t have to pray out in the open if you don’t want to. If you do decide to prayer at church, then just be mindful of others and be sure to observe if the rest of the congregation is praying out loud as well. This will allow you to better gauge how loudly you should pray or not.
