How do you let a raccoon out of a trap?

The back door on the trap allows you to let your raccoon out. Lifting the door of your trap will allow you to stand behind it before you do. Retract your steps and the raccoon will bolt like a shot. It’s a lot like letting a cat out of a bag.

What do you do with a raccoon after you trap it?

Raccoons cannot be trapped or relocated for any reason, including the fact that they carry the rabies virus. Unless they can be rehabilitated on the property where they were captured, all captured raccoons must be put down or released.
