If your detergent was not properly rinsed, liquid laundry detergent stains may appear. You can easily remove these stains with just a few steps. Combine 1 cup vinegar with 1 quart of water in a basin. To loosen the detergent, place the soiled item into the tub. Let the garment soak for at minimum one hour before you place it in the tub. Do not overstuff your machine. Your soiled garment should have enough space to tumble and agitate detergent so it can get out. Pull the item out of the washer and have a good look. Repeat the above steps if the stain remains. Do not dry your shirt until the detergent has been removed. Heat can cause the stain to set.
