How To Remove Fabric Softener Stains
Sarah Silva
Just as you were about to pull your clothes from the washer, you noticed a greasy-looking spot on your favorite shirt. This was not there when it was tossed in. Although you wouldn’t believe that something in the washing process could stain clothes, fabric softener stains can happen.

.Avoiding fabric softener stains by not using any fabric softener and choosing a detergent with fabric softening ingredients. Do not dry your garment in the dryer until you are certain the stain has gone. The high heat can cause fabric softener stains to set just like any other stain. You can use the same laundry detergent that you would use to wash your clothes. You can still use the laundry detergent or soap in a concentrated form, but you should test it on a small area to protect the fabric. To remove any remaining stains, bleach can be used as an alternative. This step is not necessary, so do not rush to buy one (at least for fabric softener stains). This is a last resort option for stubborn stains.
