The particles are retained behind when hard water has evaporated from windscreen glass, producing whitish spots. Spray the solution on your windshield’s hard water spots. Allow about 5 minutes for the vinegar’s acidity to soften the stubborn deposits. Wipe the area away with a clean towel until it disappears. If necessary, repeat the procedure. Lemon juice, which has the same acidic qualities as vinegar, can be substituted. Fresh lemon juice is more effective than bottled lemon juice at removing hard water stains. You can wipe the lemon straight on the glass to remove severe hard water stains. Hard water stains on windshields can be removed with lemon and orange essential oils, but they can also be prevented in the future. Inside a cup of water, add a few droplets of citrus or lime lavender oil. 

Using a clean sponge or towel, apply the mixture to the windshield. Leave this to remain for 10 minutes, then wash it with any cleaning solution. Hard water stains can also be removed using toothpaste—the slight abrasive in non-gel fluoride toothpaste aids in the removal of hard water stains from windows. Just on spots, use a tiny portion of the toothbrush. With a moist towel, spread it all over the affected region. Take 5–10 mins for the toothbrush to cure after washing it off with a damp towel or washcloth.
