How To Remove Water Stains From Car Windows
Andrew Davis
When water from hard surfaces evaporates off the surface of the windshield and leaves behind the minerals that form areas of light-colored white dots on its windshield. The white spots, often known as limestone scales, or calcium deposits, become hard and form white glazes over the glass. They are extremely difficult to get rid of and can give the windows of your car an unattractive texture and haze. Here are some reliable methods that will help you get rid of the staining of hard water from your windshield.

The mineral deposits that are found in the hard water are acidic in the natural world. Vinegar’s acidity helps neutralize them. Mix equal quantities of white distillation vinegar, water and spray the mixture onto the hard water stains that appear on your windshield. It should sit for five minutes so that the acidity from the vinegar can soften hard deposits. Remove it using a dry towel until the spot disappears. Repeat the process if you need to.
The juice of a lemon can be substituted for vinegar since it is the same type of acid. Fresh lemon juice can eliminate staining from hard water more effectively than the bottle version. For stains that are extremely hard to remove, it is possible to rub the lemon directly onto the glass.
Essential Oil
Essential oils of orange and lemon remove the stains of hard water from windshields and stop the formation of these stains over time. Incorporate a few drops of citrus or lemon essential oils in water. Spread the mixture over the windshield using an unclean towel or sponge. It should soak for approximately 10 minutes and then wash it using some glass cleaner. It is recommended to use this method each week to prevent hard water spots from getting on your windshield.
