How to reset Lexus es350 oil light?

Writer Rachel Davis

If your Lexus ES350 has an oil light that is on, there are a few things you can do to reset it. The first thing you can try is to start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. If the light still comes on, you can try turning off the engine and then restarting it. If this does not work, then you will need to wait about 10 minutes and the light should go off.
If this does not work, there is a way to reset the oil monitor on your car. First, turn off the engine and wait for it to cool down completely. On the left side of your dash, there should be some small panels that can be popped out. Behind one of these panels is the oil monitor. There is a reset button located on the side of it. Push this button and wait for the light to go off. Once it does, you can replace the panel.
