How to reset oil life on honda odyssey

1995-2004 Models:

The models usually flash a “Maint Reqd” indicator to let the driver know that it is time to change the oil. Remove your mind from the “Maint Reqd” message by following these steps.

  1. Switch the ignition to the “OFF” position.
  2. Hold and press on the “Select/Reset” icon on your instrument panel.
  3. While holding button “Select/Reset” button then turn your engine “ON”. Don’t start the engine.
  4. Keep holding your button(s) for at least 10 seconds, or till the light is reset.

Models from 2005 to 2017:

They typically show an indicator for the wrench in the event that an oil change is identified as being required. Remove the wrench using these steps.

  1. Find out where your “SEL/RESET” button is. In certain models, it’s located in the display next to the fuel gauge. Others feature them on their wheel. Wheel. Turn on the ignition into “On”. Don’t start the engine.

  4. Utilize the up and down Arrows in order to select “Oil Life” Then hit “Enter” in order to choose it.
  5. Take note of the item that indicates the duration of the oil. Hold and press “Enter” for 10 seconds.
  6. Use the arrows up and down in order to emphasize “All due items” as well as the one that is related to the life of the oil.
  7. Hold and press “Enter” until you see a message that states reset is complete.

Option 2 – Use a Touch Screen:

  1. Click “Settings”.
  2. Click “Vehicle”.
  3. Select “Maintenance Details”.
  4. Tap “Oil & Filter”.
  5. Tap “Reset”.
  6. Tap “Reset” and again to confirm.
