How do you know when your snake plant is dying?

Symptoms. As the roots begin to turn brown and mushy, this is an early sign of rot. The leaves of the plant begin to yellow, wilt, or droop and eventually turn mushy as the root rot takes hold. By the time symptoms appear on the leaves, the problem may have progressed too far to be fixed, putting the entire plant at risk.

Will a snake plant heal itself?

Damaged leaves will eventually die and fall off the plant as the plant repairs itself. Natural healing processes can take a long time when the snake plant is severely damaged (months).

How do I fix my snake plant drooping?

This can be fixed by using a potting mix specifically designed for cacti and succulents. For my Snake Plant, this is an excellent potting mix that I have used numerous times with great results. You can also use regular potting soil and add half a cup of perlite and a tablespoon of compost for fertilization.
