How to use cruise control bmw e46?

Writer Gabriel Cooper

Therefore, you have a brand new car and do not know how to use the cruise control feature. Here is a systematic guide for you:
Step 1: Turn on your cruise control
– Press the left turn signal stalk down once, this will activate/deactivate your cruise control.

Step 2: Set your speed
This is done with the throttle. It is usually 80km/h in Australia and its pretty much standard all over the world.

The car will accelerate when you press down on the throttle and slow down when you let go
Step 3: Cruise!
Cruise control is limited to the speed that was set. If you want to cruise at 102 km/h then you will need to set your speed before doing so…. In addition, the same goes for slowing down below 80km/h.

Here is a quick tips list on how to use cruise control: 1. Press the left turn signal stalk down once
2. This activates your Cruise Control and sets your desired speed 3. Change lanes or adjust speeds
While cruising 4. Press the left turn signal stalk again to switch it off 5. It is that simple!
(Note: This will not work for SMG cars, maybe in the future i can update this guide with a how to use cruise control SMG guide!)
Well your car does not have cruise control then! The difference between the two turn signal stalks is that the bottom one has a Cruise Control symbol on it. Not all BMW E46s have a Cruise Control stalk but a lot of them do. If you are not sure whether your car has it, just look for the Cruise Control symbol on the turn signal stalk. If you do not have one, sorry my friend, your car does not have cruise control!
