Silky Terrier Dog Breed Playing Aro... Silky Terrier Dog Breed Playing AroundFirst I would like to start with what Islamic Law says about haram food:
“He has forbidden you carrion, and blood; and the flesh of swine; and that which has been dedicated to other than God. But if anyone is forced (by necessity), without wilful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits, – then is he guiltless. So does the Islam law and the Quran say anything about Acupuncture?
A quick Google search and we come to know that there are many verses in the Quran that talk about how Allah has healed people via miraculous ways.
So I would like to think that if acupuncture is done correctly it will be allowed as per Islam.
So what is Acupuncture? It’s a Traditional Chinese medicine procedure using needles as a therapeutic or preventive treatment for medical problems. The insertion of needles into specific points on the body, usually along channels called meridians, is a relatively safe procedure and can be effective in reducing symptoms without harmful side effects.
But wait a minute what about the animal’s parts? Where do they fit in? Well, most acupuncturists use stainless steel needles which are 100% safe so it will be halal to use them.
So Islam allows us to cure our body in a certain way but is there any evidence that acupuncture works? Yes!
It has been found in many studies that Acupuncture can help in pain relief, nausea relief, stress reduction, and also help to regulate our breathing and heartbeat.
So based on the above information we can say that Acupuncture would be halal to practice as long as we don’t use any parts of an animal or if we use animal parts then it should be done in a way where no blood is drawn from the animal instead some sort of alcohol solution should be used.
