It is not bad to drink pre-workout without working out. As long as you are taking the right amount of it then there would be no problem with that, but if you’re taking too much then it will have an effect on your body.

What can happen if you drink pre-workout without working out?

If you’re just drinking the pre-workout supplements then you’re ok. But if your take too much then it will cause many problems with your body such as:

Dehydration dehydrates the body and can be extremely bad for you, as your kidneys won’t work as well as they normally do or could even make them fail, and it also causes low blood pressure which is also bad for the human body.

Anxiety and nervousness would happen to anyone who takes too much of it because it makes you feel like your heart is beating fast and that gives you a sense of anxiety and nervousness. Cancer is not proven but there might be a link between the two here’s why one of the ingredients in pre-workout contains caffeine which can lead to getting cancer.

Weight gain if you’re taking too much of the pre-workout supplements then you might start to see weight gain because of that, but that does not mean you will become fat all it means is that there is more mass in your body than usual and that’s how it works.

Fatigue can happen when someone drinks too much pre-workout because their muscles may be tired due to over-exhaustion. Unconsciousness happens when people take too much they pass out most likely because their breathing pattern probably changed or even something else like low blood pressure. Nausea can be brought on by many reasons such as side effects from drinking too much caffeine or not drinking enough liquids or even dehydration.
