Is Temprid A Repellent? - Kylon Powell
John Campbell
Temprid was developed, which offers both immediate knockdown and long-lasting residual protection against over fifty different types of pests. These include ants, spiders, cockroaches, and other important perimeter pests. Its dual-action makes it one of the most effective ant control solutions on the market. When spraying around the foundation of your home, it recommends spraying about 3 feet up the side of your house and about 3-5 feet out from the base of your foundation (spraying directly on the ground). This will give you a powerful deterrent and will help prevent future infestations.

Temprid Insecticide is a suspension concentrate formulation containing the active ingredients imidacloprid and beta-cyfluthrin, which are both used in insecticides. These two active ingredients have distinct effects on the pests they target, allowing for complete and unique control of even the most difficult pests, even when resistance is a concern. It is a patented neonicotinoid pesticide produced by Bayer CropScience. It is used to control weeds and insects.
The term “neonicotinoids” refers to a class of neuro-active insecticides that are based on nicotine in their action. When an insect either ingests or absorbs the poison into its body, imidacloprid disrupts the transmission of inhibiting stimuli within the nervous system of that insect, resulting in the death of that insect. More specifically, imidacloprid interferes with a specific type of neuronal pathways that are much more prevalent in insects than in mammals, according to the manufacturer. As a result, the chemical is significantly more toxic to insects than it is to humans or animals.
This is due to the longer kill time of imidacloprid. Temprid is effective against pyrethroid-resistant bed bugs and can be used for up to six months. Temprid has consistently been rated as one of the best bed bug products available because of its rapid knockdown and long residual control on common surfaces where bed bugs congregate. If you have bed bugs, you can use Temprid as a spot treatment on the seams and folds of your mattress where bed bugs have been found. If you have bed bugs, you should also treat your box spring, the inside of your bed frame or headboard, and any upholstered furniture where bed bugs have been discovered.
Beta-cyfluthrin is a synthetic pyrethroid that targets bugs’ nerve systems. Man-made beta-cyfluthrin, which is designed to mimic the effects on insects of naturally occurring pyrethrum, has the advantage of remaining effective for a much longer period of time than pyrethrins. While the beta-cyfluthrin in Temprid SC gives instant control, the imidacloprid in this formulation provides long-lasting and extensive control. When applying Temprid SC, a hand pump sprayer is recommended because it is a liquid concentrate that must be diluted with water.
When used in the proper manner, Temprid Insecticide is completely safe. After treatment, only the applicator should remain on site until the treatment is completed. Everyone is welcome to return once the treated surfaces have dried and the area has been properly ventilated.
