How do you purge a gas line for a fireplace?
Press the igniter button repeatedly while pressing the valve control knob inward until the pilot light comes on. As the gas begins to flow, it may take up to 10 minutes for the air to be bled out of the lines. Continue pressing the valve knob inward for 30 seconds after the pilot light has been turned on.
Why am I not getting gas to my fireplace?
Having no gas flow is most likely due to a blocked gas diffuser or a valve that has been turned off in a gas fireplace. Taking out the front grille, turning off the gas valve, and removing the diffuser is all that is needed to fix this problem. Before reinstalling the diffuser, clean it with a vacuum. The gas valve should now work, so try it out.
